The Nivedita Foundation is a non-profit registered public trust, exempted under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Located in the city of Anand, our primary aim is to enhance the educational opportunities and prospects for the children and women residing in rural Bharat. Inspired by the exemplary lives and works of revered figures such as Mother Teresa, we are committed to tracking, counseling, and providing financial assistance to over 45,000 students across 150 government schools in the Anand district, as well as several schools in the Jamnagar district, through the Reliance Industries CSR program.
Our foundation is dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty, particularly among the children of farmers who often end up as daily wage laborers. Instead, we strive to inspire and guide them towards higher education by employing various innovative methodologies. Our overarching mission is to empower every rural child to transcend social barriers, explore the world, and lead a healthy, productive, and dignified life through comprehensive learning experiences.
Moreover, we are committed to the empowerment of women by providing training in their inherent skills, enabling them to achieve self-reliance and earn a respectable livelihood. Through these initiatives, we aim to foster a more equitable and inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their community.

Our Mission
'Graduate Bharat' : The Nivedita Foundation (NF) is fervently committed to narrowing the educational disparity between rural and urban areas by empowering rural students to pursue higher education. Recognizing the declining trend in university admissions compared to primary and secondary school enrollments, NF endeavors to bolster the self-esteem and sense of belonging of rural students through attire initiatives, thereby encouraging them to pursue education beyond the primary level and strive for prosperous careers. NF's overarching mission is to curtail the dropout rate among rural students and motivate them to pursue graduate studies, fostering the belief that every individual deserves equal opportunities for a fulfilling life. Through mentorship and educational support, NF aspires to equip rural students with the tools and confidence to seize opportunities and contribute meaningfully to society.
Our Vision
We envision raising Bharat's literacy rate from 65%, aiming for a brighter future. With 200 million children aged 6 to 14 obtaining graduate degrees, our nation can emerge as a beacon of progress for humanity. This commitment to higher education holds the promise of fostering cleanliness, curbing population growth, eliminating poverty, and catalyzing economic growth.
