Nivedita foundation is a non-profitable registered public trust exempted from 80G of income tax based in the city of Anand that aims for the education and better future of the children of rural India. Inspired by the works and life of Mother Teresa, we track, console and fund 10,000 plus students of 21 government schools of Anand district. We at the foundation want to break the cycle of a farmer's son earning after his schooling as a poor daily wages worker with goal for higher education using various innovative tools. Our mission is to support every rural child rise beyond their social boundaries and explore the world to live a healthy, productive and dignified life through all round learning.
Her heart is filled with ocean of love and concern for the less privileged. Girls are her weakness. She has a waste horizon of belief for educational reforms in India, which she promotes through her political connections. Nipa wishes that each girl child should be beautiful through her thoughts and deeds.
Nipa Patel is a Gujarat based social reformer. Working as Chairperson to Nivedita Foundation, which she co-founded with her architect husband in the year 2006. She walks in a well dressed attire like an actress, but when she puts her delicate hands on the head of the students, those hands becomes humble like a caring mother. A student catches her vibration and million such students in more than 130 schools where her foundation provides services love her. Her counseling sessions with the mothers of these students has shown results with improved attendance and magnetism towards clean and descent uniforms. Nipa Patel portraits a living example of growing confidence amongst the less privileged children in rural segment of Anand district. Her day starts with the agenda of NF and ends with phone calls received from girls asking; Madam have you had dinner. All because of her simple and modest merging nature with the students to personal touch. Her smile and her voice soothe the soul and bring the heart of these innocent children closer to her. Even to her home on many of the beautiful Sundays.
Nivedita foundation is founded by Professional architect couple, Nipa & Kamal Patel. Living in a large farmhouse cum studio with grown up stepchildren pursuing the profession of architecture, Nipa felt the need to utilize the space she had in her life. Out of void around a large part of her life, she started by bringing unprivileged children with the consent of their parents to her home, providing exposure to the basics of a quality lifestyle. Things, which are generally inaccessible in rural India, are made accessible to them. Simple things such as a hair dryer, washing machine, computer or even a sofa were made to their use for the first time in their lives. She goes as a field worker to various schools regularly, teaching them English and Computer, networking with the teachers as well as the child's mother and liaison with the government officials. She serves on board and acts as advisor to various other organizations as well. Nivedita Foundation has a backbone of leading businessmen as their trustee.
We as a team managed to donate 12,000 uniforms and sweaters to schools around the district of Anand and it is ongoing for years. To mark a motivation in the young mind, a parade session was held, in front of the Governor of Gujarat Dr. Kamla. Also, students were taken to the Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi's office for one to one interaction. The idea is to build confidence and inspire them to be like these dignitaries by virtue of higher education. NF is laying strong footing to inculcate importance of education amongst the rural students and their parents irrespective of their economical circumstances.
We believe that our little concern can guide these children in the right direction. We have come to learn that the government alone cannot change the problem of underprivileged primary school children. So we extend our hands to them by getting involved in their school activities round the year. Nipa Patel remains the field worker with support from time to time of her trustee husband, friends, volunteers and experts. A generous donation from around the world through personal contacts is received in which Facebook contacts have played a major role. You are invited for introduction of new techniques and methods to achieve our goal and not just charity only.
NF is working hard to increase the ratio of graduates from the rural sector as a number of students admitted in university decreases in comparison to secondary school, which again decreases in comparison to primary school strength. Their attire will increase their self-esteem and give them a sense of belonging to help themselves study beyond primary education seeking good jobs. Nivedita foundation has a set goal to break the cycle of a poor farmer's son remaining a poor worker by uplifting his social status. We want them to embrace a deserving life, as there is equal opportunity for all in the world.

We have a dream to increase literacy rate from 65% in India. If 200-million child population between the ages of 6 to 14 years gets graduate degrees our nation can rise as a torchbearer to human race.
Rural school children do not know how to walk wearing shoes. We want them to go to school wearing presentable uniform and in shoes.
All school going children carry a 15kg bag on their shoulder leading to early medical problems. We are pursuing the government to revive the timetable thus reducing daily books to be carried to the school.
Moral value and life long mannerism of my clean school, my clean street, my clean home, my clean city, my clean nation must be injected into the minds and heart of each students from day one in their school.
India has a grave street culture that has to be taught as a vigorous curriculum to every school student which when enthused into his or her nerves remain as an addicted good habit for their life.
Government provides free education upto eighth standard in all rural primary school; we are in dialogue for reform to extend the same to higher secondary education.
Good uniform gives antiquates, sense of responsibility and discipline to us in any sector. Our major thrust is towards the same hence providing more focus to their academic life.
Nivedita foundation organizes different activities like participating in all festivals, birthdays, arranging workshops, educational tours, counseling and medical camps.
